Roles & Responsibilities

Provide clinical oversight for the entire Occupational Therapy Department staff
Coordinate clinical education and competency processes with direct supervision of COTAs and Rehabilitation Technicians
Ensure full compliance with all regulations, policies, and professional standards
Oversee the Occupational Therapy policy and procedure manual covering scope of care, evaluations, treatments, discharge planning, and documentation
Evaluate and treat patients 80% of your time while dedicating 20% to program development and administrative tasks
Function in accordance with the California State Practice Act to deliver exceptional care

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy
Currently licensed Occupational Therapist in California by the Board of Medical Quality Assurance
Possess all additional qualifications recommended by the CA Therapy Board and Rehabilitation Services Department
Member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) preferred

Education

Graduate of a school of Occupational Therapy approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in Occupational Therapy
Strong leadership and supervision skills for COTAs and techs
Knowledge of clinical education, competency processes, and regulatory compliance
Proficiency in policy development, patient evaluation, treatment, discharge planning, and documentation
