Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise approximately 45 FTEs across Plant Operations, Maintenance, and Environmental Services with inspiration and clarity
• Set clear customer service expectations and training plans for your team to shine
• Direct maintenance of utility systems ensuring uninterrupted heat, steam, power, and oxygen for patient care
• Inspect equipment and oversee preventative maintenance to keep everything running smoothly
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS, and local codes while managing contractors
• Act as a vital liaison with departments to assess needs and craft action plans that deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of personnel management experience
• Knowledge of electricity, electronics, plumbing, carpentry, boiler operation, HVAC, general building maintenance, autoclaving, bio-waste, life safety codes, construction phasing, and environmental services operations
• Ability to apply engineering principles and repair malfunctioning equipment

Education

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough grasp of engineering principles
• Expertise in personnel management
• Hands-on skills in electricity, electronics, plumbing, carpentry, boiler operation, and HVAC
• Familiarity with general building maintenance, autoclaving, bio-waste handling, life safety codes, construction phasing, and environmental services
