Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM; 1 weekend per month on call 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare patients for surgery with precision and care in a fast-paced Pre-Op unit
Monitor and recover patients in PACU, ensuring smooth transitions post-procedure
Perform IV starts, EKGs, and assist with nerve blocks while providing top-notch compassionate care
Float seamlessly between campuses to support team needs and make a real impact
Collaborate with a tight-knit team including a hands-on charge nurse who jumps in to help

Qualifications

Active RN license with at least 2 years of experience
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Comfortable with IV starts and willing to cover Phase 2 recovery
Pass Basic Dysrhythmia test (83% needed, three attempts allowed)
First-time travelers welcome - come grow with us

Education

BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

Acute Pre-Op experience preferred
Familiarity with general surgeries like choles, hernias, and GYN procedures
EKGs and nerve blocks with orientation provided
EMR proficiency in SIS and Meditech
Team player ready to float and adapt
