Roles & Responsibilities

Perform accurate echocardiogram studies including Transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, Color-flow Doppler, Transesophageal, and stress echocardiography to deliver vital diagnostics
Conduct EKG, Holter monitoring, and cardiac stress tests with precision for optimal physician insights
Utilize advanced equipment like echocardiographs and Holter monitors to provide top-tier cardiac data
Ensure seamless scheduling, processing, and charging via hospital systems
Uphold strict infection control and aseptic techniques for patient safety
Guide students with preceptorship and clinical expertise
Deliver specialized neonatal and pediatric cardiac testing with care

Qualifications

Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Successful completion of certification program or two years hands-on echocardiography experience
Preferred: Extensive hospital experience in echocardiography, especially pediatric and neonatal

Education

High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Certificate Program in Cardiovascular Sonography

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in echocardiography, EKG, Holter monitoring, and cardiac stress tests
Proficiency with cardiac diagnostic equipment and hospital information systems
Age-specific care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients
