Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver radiographic exams of all body parts for accurate diagnostic interpretation
Apply radiation protection principles with professional judgment
Maintain detailed patient records and files
Lead departmental quality assurance efforts
Transfer patients safely to and from radiology
Step up as department lead in supervisor's absence
Pursue ongoing professional education
Assist with CT and interventional procedures
Perform daily and weekly quality control checks

Qualifications

Current ARRT in Radiography certification
Clinical competency within 3 months of hire and every three years
Ability to perform all diagnostic exams in assigned modality
Willingness to take call and respond within 20 minutes

Education

ARRT in Radiography required; additional certifications in CT, MR, MG, NM for advanced levels

Knowledge & Skills

Diagnostic medical radiography expertise
Radiation protection principles
Patient records maintenance
Quality assurance programs
CT and interventional procedures including venipuncture goals
Sterile technique and contrast administration
Tele-radiology transmission
