Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients
Care for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, pre and post PCI, pacemaker patients, CHF, COPD, sepsis, and surgical cases
Operate advanced medical equipment for patients with central lines, chest tubes, arterial lines, multiple IVs, and short-term ventilation support
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective patient care and achieve outstanding outcomes
Act as a clinical leader, precept staff, and guide RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support staff
Manage direct patient care from admission to discharge, including seamless discharge planning

Qualifications

Current State of Montana RN Licensure
BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required or obtained within 6 months of hire
EPNC, TNCC certifications preferred
Practice in advanced Medical/Surgical Unit
Recent Critical Care or Progressive Care Nursing experience
Pediatric experience preferred

Education

Degree from a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced Nursing Principles and Procedures
Operation of advanced medical equipment including A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, ventilatory support
Basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
Use of multiple IV pumps and basic office equipment
