Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver radiographic and sonographic exams across all body parts for accurate diagnostic interpretation
Apply expert judgment in radiation protection principles to ensure patient safety
Maintain precise patient records and oversee departmental quality assurance
Perform specialized mammography procedures including stereotactic breast biopsy and specimen radiography
Assist in CT and interventional procedures with sterile technique and contrast management
Step up to lead the department in supervisor's absence and pursue ongoing education

Qualifications

Current ARRT in Radiography certification
BLS certification within 45 days of hire
Clinical competency assessment within 3 months and every three years
Ability to perform all diagnostic exams in assigned modality
Willingness to take call and respond within 20 minutes

Education

ARRT certification in Radiography required; additional ARRT or ARDMS in modalities for Tech II-IV levels

Knowledge & Skills

Diagnostic medical radiography and sonography expertise
Radiation protection and quality assurance practices
Patient records maintenance across diverse age groups
Mammography skills including breast needle localization and quality control
CT and interventional procedure support with venipuncture goals
Adaptability to multiple imaging modalities like MRI, NM, and ultrasound
