Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to medical/surgical patients requiring advanced monitoring and support
Operate sophisticated medical equipment like central lines, A-lines, multiple IVs, and ventilation systems
Care for general medical and surgical inpatients from admission through discharge, including planning
Assess situations and implement policies with minimal supervision as a clinical leader
Precept staff and provide direction to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, housekeeping, and dietary teams

Qualifications

Current State of Montana RN Licensure, BLS and ACLS required, PALS/EPNC/TNCC preferred
Degree from a Nursing Program
Practice in advanced Medical/Surgical Unit and recent Critical Care Nursing experience

Education

Degree from a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced Nursing Principles and Procedures
Operation of advanced medical equipment including A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, and ventilatory support
Use of multiple IV pumps and basic office equipment
Ability to assess and lead with minimal supervision
