Roles & Responsibilities

Employ a holistic approach to deliver medical social services that empower YKDRH patients and families to overcome physical, social, emotional, and environmental challenges
Support individuals across all ages from prenatal to elderly in achieving optimal health
Collaborate with healthcare teams and perform supervisory tasks as needed
Present information effectively in one-on-one and group settings to patients, agencies, and communities

Qualifications

MSW from an accredited school of Social Work
One year experience in hospital or health-care setting
State of Alaska license at Master’s level (LMSW) or eligibility
Valid Alaska State driver’s license

Education

MSW (Master of Social Work) from an accredited school

Knowledge & Skills

Basic knowledge of computer use
College-level reading, comprehension, and writing skills
Mathematical abilities including rates, ratios, and graphs
Experience in cross-cultural settings preferred, especially bilingual in English and Yup'ik
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
