Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver diagnostic evaluations and personalized treatment plans to help patients achieve their maximum performance potential
- Consult on environmental design, adaptive equipment, and positioning to enhance patient outcomes
- Design innovative therapy programs using exercises and activities to boost strength, range of motion, and coordination
- Instruct patients and families in adaptive techniques for daily living, self-care, and energy conservation
- Administer specialized therapy for neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and balance disorders
- Conduct home assessments and create tailored home programs for seamless community reintegration
- Maintain accurate records and participate in quality improvement to elevate care standards
Qualifications
- Current valid WA state Occupational Therapist license (or in process of obtaining)
- Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in occupational therapy
- One year of experience preferred, but new grads warmly welcomed
Education
- Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in occupational therapy required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional materials and regulations
- Skilled in mathematical concepts like probabilities, statistics, fractions, and proportions
- Excellent reasoning to solve practical problems with limited standardization
- Effective communication for presenting to groups, patients, and managers
