Roles & Responsibilities

Coordinate diverse nursing care procedures tailored to residents' unique needs
Lead patient and family teaching while collaborating with the healthcare team
Perform thorough nursing assessments through interviewing, observation, and the nursing process
Administer medications and therapeutics accurately while managing care plans
Delegate and supervise CNAs, LPNs, and staff to ensure top-quality resident care
Educate residents, families, and staff to promote health and coping skills
Document care meticulously in EHR and adapt to emergencies with calm expertise

Qualifications

Current full, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or other U.S. state (must apply for Alaska license before start for direct hire)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
Clinical Competency and High Risk Competency within 3 months of hire
Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (Bachelor’s degree, Associate's degree, or Diploma)
High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

Nursing care principles, practices, diagnosis, and processes
Pharmaceuticals including effects, side effects, and complications
Operation and monitoring of medical equipment like AED
Proficient nursing procedures and patient care
Strong oral and written communication for EHR and team updates
