Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate diverse nursing care procedures tailored to residents' unique needs
- Lead patient and family teaching while collaborating with the healthcare team
- Perform thorough nursing assessments through interviewing, observation, and the nursing process
- Administer medications and therapeutics accurately while managing care plans
- Delegate and supervise CNAs, LPNs, and staff to ensure top-quality resident care
- Educate residents, families, and staff to promote health and coping skills
- Document care meticulously in EHR and adapt to emergencies with calm expertise
Qualifications
- Current full, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or other U.S. state (must apply for Alaska license before start for direct hire)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
- Clinical Competency and High Risk Competency within 3 months of hire
- Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (Bachelor’s degree, Associate's degree, or Diploma)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Nursing care principles, practices, diagnosis, and processes
- Pharmaceuticals including effects, side effects, and complications
- Operation and monitoring of medical equipment like AED
- Proficient nursing procedures and patient care
- Strong oral and written communication for EHR and team updates
