Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver compassionate nursing care to patients of all ages
- Supervise team members to ensure top-notch patient safety and care
- Make independent clinical decisions with confidence during your shift
- Build strong relationships across departments for seamless patient support
- Respond calmly to emergencies with sound nursing judgment
- Maintain detailed records and transcribe orders accurately
- Foster a warm, positive environment that uplifts everyone
Qualifications
- Current full, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or multi-state compact
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or obtain within 6 months)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred, especially for ED
- Graduate from accredited nursing program (BSN, ADN, or Diploma)
- Acute care, emergency, or long-term care experience a plus - but none required
Education
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or Diploma)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in nursing and medical practices and procedures
- Skilled at supervising teams and incorporating innovative methods
- Ability to make independent decisions and handle high-pressure situations
- Strong communication to connect with patients, families, and staff
