Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac telemetry and rapidly identify changes in rhythm or patient status
Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for telemetry patients
Perform focused assessments and implement nursing interventions promptly
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to optimize care plans
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the chart
Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and discharge plans

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
Comfortable and experienced with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Strong critical thinking, assessment skills, and ability to prioritize in a busy setting
Previous acute care or telemetry unit experience preferred

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
Patient assessment and early recognition of deterioration
IV therapy, medication administration, and basic cardiac care
Accurate electronic charting and effective clinical documentation
Clear communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
