Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during assigned shifts
- Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and document findings accurately
- Administer medications and treatments safely, following protocols and physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and improve outcomes
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns as needed
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure — California RN licensure required or eligible
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS/PALS as required by unit or employer
- Prior clinical experience in nursing settings (hospital or clinic) preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and dependable work ethic
- Ability to work independently on per-diem assignments and integrate quickly with unit teams
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, and documentation best practices
- Comfortable with medication administration, IV therapy, and common nursing procedures
- Knowledge of infection control, safety standards, and charting systems
- Strong teamwork, time management, and patient advocacy skills
