Location: Omaha, NE

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts (3 x 12s), shift times 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, days vary week-to-week; includes weekend and holiday coverage and call/standby requirements
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI exams across a wide range of studies, including cardiac, breast, and angiographic imaging
- Operate and troubleshoot Siemens MRI scanners (Aera 1.5T, Trio 3T, Espree 1.5T) and related imaging equipment
- Start IVs as needed and manage patient prep and positioning with compassion and safety
- Use EPIC and PACS (McKesson, transitioning to Merge) for charting and image management
- Work closely with on-site radiologists and residents to ensure timely, accurate imaging and patient care
- Maintain departmental policies and infection control standards, including adherence to fingernail/artificial nail rules
- Contribute to a fast-paced environment averaging 35–40 studies per day while prioritizing patient comfort and safety
Qualifications
- Certified MRI Technologist — ARRT (MR) required
- BLS (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant MRI/imaging experience preferred
- Experience with Siemens MRI platforms (Aera, Trio, Espree) and PACS systems (EPIC, McKesson, Merge) highly desirable
- Comfortable starting IVs and managing trauma-level patients (Trauma Level I experience)
- Valid driver’s license at time of submittal (radius rule applies — candidates must be within 50 miles)
- Willingness to comply with facility policies (e.g., fingernail policy) and availability for weekends, holidays, and call
Education
- ARRT (MR) certification required
- BLS (AHA) required
- Formal training/education in MRI or radiologic technology preferred (BSN not required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care and communication skills in a high-volume imaging environment
- Proficiency with EPIC for charting and McKesson/PACS workflows (transition to Merge underway)
- Technical knowledge of Siemens MRI systems (Aera 1.5T, Trio 3T, Espree 1.5T)
- Ability to perform specialized imaging: Cardiac MRI, Breast MRI, Angio studies
- IV start competency and familiarity with protocols for trauma patients
- Ability to manage 35–40 scans per day while maintaining quality and safety
