Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Support resident hygiene and personal care with dignity and respect
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient chart or electronic record
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality care
• Maintain infection control and safety standards at all times

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and health screenings (TB, immunizations) as required
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and reliable work ethic
• Previous resident or patient care experience preferred but new grads welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Basic vital signs collection and documentation
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
• Teamwork and ability to follow care plans and nurse directions
