Shift Type: Per diem nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (days vary / schedule flexible)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
Assess patients frequently and respond to changes in condition with timely interventions
Manage advanced monitoring and life-support equipment with confidence
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Educate patients and families with compassion and clear communication during stressful moments
Document care accurately and efficiently in the patient record to ensure continuity

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
Current BLS certification required; ACLS required or obtained per facility policy
Previous ICU or critical care experience preferred
Comfortable working night shifts and adaptable to per diem scheduling
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Education

Approved nursing program graduate (ADN/BSN)
BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in critical care monitoring and assessment
Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic support
Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and titration of vasoactive drips
Clear and compassionate communication with patients, families, and the care team
Accurate and timely electronic health record documentation
