Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care during overnight MST shifts
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and responses to interventions
• Safely administer medications and treatments according to protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Communicate clearly with patients and families about care plans and education
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate when needed
• Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation and handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California) or eligible to practice in California
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications preferred
• Previous acute care or med-surg experience preferred
• Comfortable working night shifts and per diem schedule
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and prioritization for overnight patient care
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with telemetry and med-surg patient needs
• Proficient with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• Ability to handle emergencies and urgent patient needs calmly
• Patient and family education with clear, empathetic communication
