Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients across PCU and Med/Surg levels
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin and cardizem
Monitor ventilators and perform advanced hemodynamic assessments to keep patients stable
Collaborate with an amazing multidisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, and educators
Float within similar care levels to support colleagues and expand your clinical skills
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives that truly make a difference

Qualifications

Active RN license and BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
Chemotherapy certification strongly preferred
First-time travelers warmly welcomed
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of Omaha and have no prior employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing expertise
Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000)
ICP monitoring and insulin/cardizem titration experience
EPIC EMR proficiency within the last 6 months is helpful but not required
Strong teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and genuine patient advocacy
