Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD on a busy 18-bed telemetry unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and confidently read telemetry strips to keep patients safe
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators to deliver seamless care
Float to other med/surg units as needed, showcasing your adaptability and teamwork
Manage time effectively while maintaining excellent communication with patients, families, and the care team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact license
BLS certification required
Strong communication and time-management skills
Ability to read telemetry strips
Willingness to float to all med/surg units

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Care for patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD
Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Comfort working with a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
Team collaboration and adaptability
