Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care during overnight shifts
• Perform thorough patient assessments and intervene promptly when needed
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document patient status and nursing interventions clearly in the EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families with clarity and empathy
• Respond effectively to emergencies and escalate per protocol

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred when applicable
• Prior acute care or relevant clinical experience preferred
• Comfort with overnight/night shift responsibilities and critical thinking under pressure
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility-specific onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proven ability to manage medications and IV therapies safely
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clear documentation practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Basic familiarity with common overnight discharge/admission processes
• Prior experience with patient education and family communication
