Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality external beam radiation treatment plans using Eclipse and other planning tools
• Present treatment plans and clinical rationale to Radiation Oncologists for review and approval
• Perform routine and specialized QA on treatment plans and equipment to ensure patient safety
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and dosimetry team members to manage a patient caseload effectively
• Document treatment plans and patient information accurately in ARIA and EPIC systems
• Support Varian TruBeam and Edge workflows and integrate advanced modalities like IMRT/VMAT/SBRT where appropriate
• Maintain strict adherence to department policies and infection control standards while delivering compassionate care

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) — required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) — required
• Minimum ~2 years' experience in dosimetry or radiation therapy (per job details)
• Proven hands-on experience with Eclipse treatment planning and Varian/Aria workflows
• Comfortable working with EPIC, PACS, MIM, and Radformation
• Driver's license required at submittal (used to confirm radius eligibility)
• Ability to respond to call within 1 hour when requested
• Must not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility (50-mile radius rule)

Education

• Formal training in radiation therapy or dosimetry preferred
• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) required

Knowledge & Skills

• External beam planning (3D-CRT, IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SBRT)
• Proficiency with Eclipse treatment planning and Aria record & verify
• Familiarity with Varian TruBeam and Varian Edge systems
• Experience using EPIC EMR, PACS, MIM, and Radformation
• Strong understanding of radiation safety, QA procedures, and treatment delivery workflows
• Clear communication skills for presenting plans to physicians and coordinating care
