Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to emergency patients
Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care in a fast-paced ER
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
Monitor patient status, document interventions, and update care plans
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and next steps
Respond to emergent situations with calm, evidence-based interventions
Support throughput by facilitating admissions, discharges, and transfers

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse license in California (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Prior emergency department experience preferred
Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently on per diem assignments and adapt quickly

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency nursing best practices
IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation
Excellent communication and teamwork in high-stress settings
Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks efficiently
Basic familiarity with cardiac monitoring and acute interventions
