Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert neonatal and infant care in a Level III NICU, caring for premature and medically complex newborns
• Manage advanced ventilator settings including AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP, high frequency ventilation, oscillators and bubble CPAP
• Perform and assist with invasive procedures such as intubation and spinal taps while maintaining sterile technique
• Care for and perform blood draws from central lines and manage PICC and implanted lines
• Titrate vasoactive medications such as dopamine per physician orders and unit protocols
• Use smart pumps, feeding pumps, isolettes and warmers safely and effectively
• Document care accurately in Epic and communicate clearly with families and the interdisciplinary team
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing competency activities to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years RN experience required, with at least 1 year in NICU specialty
• Required certifications: BCLS, NRP, PALS
• Demonstrated experience with neonatal ventilator management (HFV, oscillators, Bubble CPAP)
• Proficiency with central line care, PICC lines and IV therapy
• Comfort performing or assisting with neonatal procedures (intubation, spinal taps, ROP exams)
• Able to work night shifts and every-other-weekend coverage (may exceed to meet unit needs)
• Travel experience is not required

• Ability to titrate medications per protocol
