Registered Nurse - MS/Tele Float Pool
Location: Garden City, Kansas

End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across multiple MS-Tele units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, and more
- Float within a 60-mile zone to support facilities like St. Catherine Garden City, Bob Wilson Memorial, and St. Catherine Dodge City
- Monitor and titrate Heparin drips while caring for adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses
- Collaborate with designated charge nurses and nursing assistants to maintain safe 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratios
- Adapt quickly to new units and patient populations, from post-surgical to psych/detox and stable long-term placements
Qualifications
- Active RN license and 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Neuro experience preferred along with familiarity using Alaris pumps and EPIC charting
- Willingness to float throughout Zone 4 and maintain flexibility with scheduling needs
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills across telemetry and medical-surgical patients
- Comfort with floating to varied units including ICU holds, PCU/Stepdown, and ED Observation
- Ability to read cardiac strips and respond to changing patient conditions
- Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced float pool environment
