Registered Nurse - Med Surg Tele/PCU
Location: Prescott Valley, Arizona

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to a diverse mix of medical, surgical, and telemetry patients
- Interpret telemetry strips and respond quickly to cardiac changes
- Collaborate with the care team to support patients recovering from joint replacements, abdominal surgeries, and managing chronic conditions
- Precept and mentor nursing students, helping shape the next generation of caregivers
- Float to sister units including Multi Care and Pediatrics when needed, broadening your clinical experience
- Monitor stable CPAP/BiPAP patients and coordinate with respiratory therapy
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of MedSurg experience, telemetry experience preferred
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts
- Willingness to care for both MST and PCU level patients
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry interpretation skills
- Comfort managing patients with infections, respiratory issues, and post-surgical needs
- Flexibility to float across units and adapt to different patient populations
- Clear communication and a collaborative spirit
