Registered Nurse - Neuro Acute Epilepsy Monitoring
Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to patients with epilepsy, brain tumors, and other neurological conditions
- Monitor patients during 24-48 hour EEG studies and respond to subtle changes in condition
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional neuro-focused care
- Float to MedSurg/Tele units and support sister campuses as needed
- Maintain sterile technique during Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
- Utilize strong critical thinking skills to assess cranial nerves and detect early patient changes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with Level 1 trauma background
- BSN preferred; MedSurg/Tele certification a plus
- Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam and complete SIMs Lab skills assessment
- Clean driving record and reliable personal transportation
Education
- BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Experience with epilepsy monitoring and neurological conditions
- Comfort with telemetry and basic ventilator support (BiPAP)
- Ability to maintain sterile field during procedures
- Flexibility to float across units and campuses
