Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Mixed 8 and 12 hour shifts with start times including 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM, and 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, plus on-call from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM; on-call maximum 1-2 nights per 6-week schedule and 24 hours of weekend call per 6-week schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for patients of all ages
- Deliver compassionate, one-on-one attention to pediatric patients and those with special needs
- Monitor vital signs and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the care team to ensure smooth recoveries
- Float to inpatient units as a helping hand when needed, showcasing your versatility
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery expectations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of PACU experience preferred
- Proven ability to recover pediatric patients safely and confidently
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
- Strong assessment skills and comfort reading cardiac strips
Knowledge & Skills
- Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery expertise
- Pediatric post-anesthesia care
- Managing ventilated patients and those on pressors
- Blood product administration in the PACU setting
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Flexibility to float and support other units when needed
