Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess hemodialysis patients and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Administer, monitor, and accurately document therapeutic interventions and regimens
• Manage changing patient stations and delegate tasks to team members when appropriate
• Assist providers with patient needs before, during, and after hemodialysis treatments
• Triage patients and coordinate extra care at other facilities as needed
• Obtain lab specimens, perform lab competencies, and run quality control checks regularly
• Educate patients and families about disease processes, self-care, and safety
• Participate in daily huddles and clinical decision-making meetings to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 9 months clinical nursing experience and at least 3 months of specialized dialysis experience (may be completed during orientation)
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work Monday, Wednesday, Friday early morning/long shifts

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
