Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour nights per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (includes weekend coverage and on-call responsibilities)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care during a wide variety of surgical procedures, including trauma and specialty cases
Scrub and circulate in the operating room with a focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiology, and perioperative teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely patient records in EPIC
Support transplant, robotic, laparoscopy and other specialty cases as required by the OR schedule
Float to other units within the OSU organization when needed to support patient care and staffing

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) RN experience
Experience in Level I trauma center environments preferred
EPIC experience for documentation and charting
BCLS certification required
Extensive scrub and circulating experience across a broad range of surgical specialties
Comfortable with call responsibilities and weekend coverage

Knowledge & Skills

Perioperative care and surgical assisting skills
Scrubbing and circulating in high-acuity OR settings
EPIC charting and electronic documentation
Trauma care and management for Level I cases
Familiarity with robotic, laparoscopic and complex specialty surgeries
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, interdisciplinary teams
