Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
Monitor fetal heart rates and respond quickly to any changes to ensure safe deliveries
Circulate during C-sections and support the surgical team in our modern suites
Educate and support families through every stage of the birthing journey
Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurses, and specialists to deliver exceptional outcomes
Float between L&D, postpartum, and NICU units to support growing families across the hospital

Qualifications

Active California RN license
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Fetal monitoring certification (AWHONN intermediate or advanced)
2-3 years of recent L&D/PP experience
Prior travel contract experience preferred
Ability to circulate during C-sections and care for high-risk deliveries

Knowledge & Skills

Strong fetal monitoring interpretation and response skills
Comfortable with Cerner EMR and FetalLink systems
Experience caring for high-risk deliveries and diverse patient populations
Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
Flexibility to float between L&D, postpartum, and NICU units
