Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to step-down patients including lung transplant candidates and post-MI recovery
Interpret EKGs and monitor Philips telemetry to catch subtle changes before they become emergencies
Administer non-titrating drips and manage CPAP/high-flow oxygen therapies with confidence
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on the 24-bed unit to deliver safe, patient-centered care
Float to sister telemetry units when needed, broadening your skill set across cardiac, neuro, and medical-surgical populations
Maintain sterile technique during SIMs-validated skills like Foley insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

Current RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed)
Must demonstrate sterile-field competency in SIMs Lab on day one
Clean-shaven for men; natural hair color and no facial piercings required for fit testing

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
Cerner EMR documentation
Care of cardiac step-down, lung transplant, and post-surgical patients
Non-titrating drip management and respiratory support modalities
Strong sterile technique and infection-prevention practices
