Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips with confidence
Provide compassionate care to patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, and post-cath needs
Collaborate with the care team on total joint replacement recovery journeys
Support patients experiencing CVA and TIA with skilled nursing interventions
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed to help fellow units thrive
Document assessments and interventions accurately in Cerner

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass the dysrhythmia exam with 80 percent or higher within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Preferred experience with total joint replacements, CVA, and TIA patients
Cerner experience strongly recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Comfort with set-rate drips such as Diltiazem
BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatment support
Strong assessment and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with charge nurses and aides
