Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to keep patients safe and stable
• Provide skilled IV therapy, start and maintain IVs, and manage central and peripheral lines
• Administer and manage blood products and follow heparin/cardio protocols as appropriate
• Perform phlebotomy and ABG interpretation to support timely clinical decisions
• Manage respiratory supports such as HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes and tracheostomy care
• Respond rapidly as part of rapid response/code teams and collaborate across disciplines
• Document thoroughly in Epic to ensure continuity of care and accurate patient records
• Care for a diverse adult/geriatric population with diagnoses like CHF, NSTEMI, COPD, sepsis and post-op cardiac patients

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing (state licensure required)
• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience (1st-timers with 1 year welcome)
• Current BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Proficiency with Epic charting system (charting system required)
• Skills in IV therapy and phlebotomy; blood product administration experience preferred
• Comfort managing cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring; familiarity with dysrhythmia management
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, float between units, and function in a Level II trauma center environment
