Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4-10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM), oncall (8-10 shifts a month) 4:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist surgeons and medical professionals during procedures
Prepare operating room equipment and tools
Maintain sterility and safety throughout procedures
Provide emotional support to patients and families
Collaborate with circulating nurses to monitor patient vitals
Document surgical details in patient records
Perform postoperative counts and procedures

Qualifications

Previous scrub nurse experience, preferably in vascular and cardiac surgery
Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Impeccable organization, time management, and critical-thinking skills

Education

Current RN license

Knowledge & Skills

Scrub and CVOR skills
Vascular and cardiac surgery experience
Operating room procedures and protocols
Electronic health record (EHR) systems
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
