Location: Atlantic, Iowa

Start Date: 05-26-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, Rotating call with 30 minute response time

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Support the RN and surgical team with limited direct patient care
Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures
Maintain a sterile field and anticipate surgeon needs
Clean, prepare, and package instruments for disinfection and sterilization
Assist with room turnover and uphold patient safety standards
Participate as a collaborative and supportive team member

Qualifications

Active state license
BLS and BCLS certifications required
Experience in surgical technology preferred
Strong understanding of surgical procedures and aseptic technique

Education

Post-secondary education in surgical technology or related field

Knowledge & Skills

Surgical instrument handling
Sterile field maintenance
Aseptic technique
Surgical procedure knowledge
BLS
BCLS
