Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized rehabilitation plans
• Provide outpatient therapy services and manage care for swing bed and acute inpatients
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, function, and quality of life
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
• Document patient progress and therapy plans accurately and timely
• Support coverage needs during PTO periods to maintain continuity of care in a small hospital setting

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Active Alaska (AK) physical therapy license required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• DPT or PhD in Physical Therapy preferred
• Outpatient experience preferred; experience with swing bed and acute inpatient care preferred
• Comfort working in a small, critical access hospital and collaborating with a tight-knit team

Education

• Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and rehabilitation planning
• Skilled in outpatient therapeutic techniques and inpatient (swing bed/acute) management
• Strong clinical documentation and care coordination
• Effective communication and teamwork in interdisciplinary settings
• Ability to adapt to the varied caseload of a small critical access hospital
