Roles & Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, and State laws
• Document patient care and progress accurately according to standards of care
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support patients’ longitudinal plans of care
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Required seasonal influenza vaccination
• Education verification required
• Experience as a practicing RN (seeking experienced nurses)
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, and holiday rotations
• Ability to float to other units as needed

Education

• Education verification required (completion of an accredited nursing program and RN licensure)

• Medication administration and treatment implementation
• Accurate patient documentation and charting practices
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and effective communication
