Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, respectful personal care to residents including bathing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
- Assist with mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report any concerns to the nursing team
- Support residents’ daily living activities to promote dignity and independence
- Document care and observations clearly in the resident record
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification in Connecticut (required)
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or obtained upon hire
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
- Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
- Compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, documenting care, observing changes
- Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling practices
- Comfort working in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment
- Teamwork, time management, and respectful resident-centered care
