Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide timely, compassionate, high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department
Perform patient assessments, triage, and initiate appropriate interventions
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document care accurately
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans
Respond calmly and efficiently in emergent situations to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse license in Hawaii or eligibility for Hawaii licensure
Previous Emergency Department (ED/ER) clinical experience preferred
Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working 12.5-hour clinical shifts with a focus on acute care
Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred or equivalent experience

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of emergency nursing assessment and triage
Skill in IV therapy, medication administration, and basic procedures
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Good charting and documentation practices
Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family interactions
