Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming while preserving dignity
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Accurately document care provided in the resident chart and communicate updates at handoff
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents and their families

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain one
• Compassionate caregiving attitude with strong interpersonal skills
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or ability to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by the facility
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work scheduled shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs, infection control, and basic resident care
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Clear communication skills with residents, families, and team members
• Basic charting and documentation skills; familiarity with electronic health records is a plus
• Attention to detail and ability to follow care plans and facility policies
