Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care with initiative, flexibility, and minimal supervision
• Triage patients quickly, safely, and accurately to prioritize care
• Communicate patient status and critical updates clearly to physicians and the care team
• Administer medications safely and pass required medication competency testing
• Document care in the electronic medical record (T-System and CPSI) with accuracy
• Cross-train and float to Med-Surg as needed to support patient flow and unit needs
• Interface professionally and compassionately with patients, families, staff, and external agencies

Qualifications

• Current California RN license (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• PALS certification (required)
• 2+ years recent ER experience preferred
• Operating knowledge of T-System and CPSI electronic medical records
• Must pass nursing medication test and demonstrate strong verbal and written English communication
• Basic computer skills and strong interpersonal/communication abilities
• Willingness to float to Med-Surg and work night/holiday shifts as scheduled

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing and triage best practices
• Medication administration and safety protocols
• Electronic Medical Records (T-System, CPSI) documentation
• Critical thinking and rapid decision-making in high-acuity settings
• Strong communication and teamwork under pressure
• Familiarity with ACLS, PALS, and BLS algorithms and interventions
