Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while preserving dignity and independence
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Accurately document care delivered and observations in resident records
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection prevention practices
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and care team members to support care plans
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in the state of Connecticut
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate direct care to residents
- Basic understanding of resident safety and infection control practices
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding and any required screenings
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a care team
Education
- CNA certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Basic vital signs monitoring and reporting
- Accurate documentation and charting practices
- Infection control, safe patient handling, and fall prevention
- Teamwork, clear communication, and resident-focused mindset
