Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to assigned patients during the day shift
• Perform timely assessments and document patient status and interventions clearly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
• Support continuity of care through accurate handoffs and clear communication
• Act as a professional ambassador for the facility, promoting a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; specialty certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred where applicable
• Active clinical experience as an RN with demonstrated patient care skills
• Ability to work the posted shift hours (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) and adapt to unit needs
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening as required

Education

• Active RN license in California
• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Clear, professional verbal and written communication
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation practices
• Teamwork and the ability to collaborate across disciplines
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
