Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility needs to promote independence
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with caregivers
- Support infection prevention and follow facility safety protocols
- Help create a comfortable, dignified environment for residents and patients
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (CNA) in Pennsylvania or eligible to obtain
- Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs, transfers, and basic patient care
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Prior experience in long-term care or acute care helpful but caring attitude is essential
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to observe and document changes in patient condition
- Good interpersonal and time management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare setting
