Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to support positive outcomes
Document patient care and communicate effectively with families and providers
Assist with patient education and discharge planning to promote recovery

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana (or compact privileges where applicable)
Experience or clinical familiarity with medical-surgical nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS as appropriate or preferred by unit
Current immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and patient care standards
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Proficient in patient assessment, wound care, and post-op care
Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment
Good documentation practices and familiarity with electronic medical records
