Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor complex hemodynamics and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and advanced therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Perform accurate and timely documentation to support continuity of care
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and progress
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license (state licensing required)
• Experience or strong familiarity with ICU/critical care nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Critical care certification such as CCRN is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred where available.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment skills for unstable and critically ill patients
• Knowledge of ventilator management and advanced airway care
• Familiarity with vasoactive drips, titration protocols, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficient in IV medication administration and infusion pump management
• Comfortable with electronic medical record documentation and computerized order entry
• Ability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining attention to detail
