Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced ER setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely following hospital protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Monitor patient status, document changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Provide compassionate patient and family education during critical moments
• Contribute to a culture of safety by following infection control and ER best practices

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; California RN license preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or obtainable upon hire
• Previous Emergency Room experience preferred; strong assessment skills required
• Comfort working night shifts and managing multiple urgent patients
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to pass facility background and required screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
• Proficiency with IV starts, medication administration, and wound care
• Ability to interpret vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab results
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clear clinical documentation
• Teamwork, quick decision-making, and calm leadership during crises
