Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts including weekends — Day shifts: 10-hour shifts with variable starts (6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM or 8:00 AM). Night shifts: 12-hour nights 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM with rotations of 3 or 4 shifts (alternating 3 one week and 4 the next). Call as needed.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality general X-ray studies for ED, outpatient and inpatient settings
• Operate fluoroscopy and C-arm equipment safely and effectively
• Provide portable imaging across departments as needed, maintaining radiation safety
• Chart imaging and results accurately in EPIC and manage images in Fuji Synaps/PACS
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to prioritize emergent studies
• Maintain equipment and assist with patient positioning to ensure diagnostic-quality images
• Adhere to trauma Level 1 workflows and department policies while delivering compassionate patient care
• Attend required orientation and unit-specific training to ensure full competency

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of radiography experience (per job posting)
• Demonstrated skills in fluoro, general X-ray, C-arm and portable imaging
• Comfortable working in ED, outpatient and inpatient environments with 20-30 studies/day
• Must submit driver’s license; radius requirement: within 60 miles
• Agency must provide traveler’s radiation badge; clinicians should be in-state for orientation week

Education

• No BSN required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with EPIC charting and Fuji Synaps PACS workflows
• Experience working on GE radiology equipment
• Strong radiation safety and patient positioning knowledge
• Ability to handle a steady volume of studies while maintaining accuracy
• Good communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced acute care settings
• Familiarity with trauma protocols and emergent imaging priorities
