Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care in a fast-paced ER
Provide direct patient care including medication administration, wound care, and interventions
Collaborate with emergency physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans
Respond to emergent situations with calm, confident clinical decision-making
Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes clearly and timely
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
Support throughput by coordinating admissions, discharges, and transfers efficiently

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license (state license required)
Previous Emergency Room/acute care experience preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently on per-diem shifts and integrate quickly with existing teams

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency triage and rapid patient assessment
IV insertion, medication administration, and basic emergency procedures
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
Excellent communication and teamwork in high-pressure situations
Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask while maintaining patient safety
